Southside Jubilee Fund

I come back from vacation to a group of dedicated lay leaders who decide they want to raise money and awareness for what Christianity in Action might look like.

Two notes here: 1) The representative image is stretched, I hope and 2) We raised a tithe of $700,000. That's right, Southside Abbey gave away about $70,000 in 2014.

Laundry Love And Cool Hair

I can't tell which I am more excited about, the great work places like our sister community, Thad's, are doing with the Laundry Love ministry, the fact that Southside Abbey embraced it so quickly, or my hair in this picture. The hair, definitely the hair.

The Saint of the Southside? Hardly

Someone saw this picture, which was brilliantly captured by my friend, Adam Barnett, and suggested that it showed the "Saint of the Southside." This someone didn't know me that well...

It was fun to ride in the MAINx24 parade through Chattanooga's Southside. I love our neighborhood!

Phil Pollard's Memorial Service

I was blessed by being able to make it through this. Normally I preach with no notes, but I knew I had to have something to "hold on" to. Blessed be, Phil.

And Now For Some Of That Weird Music I Mentioned

What else can I say? I am in the back with a bass and a red shirt, trying my best to drive this band - servant ministry if ever it existed.

Working For The People

The St. Paul's Young Adults group went to older parishioners' homes to help with light chores. I had no idea I would be digging or photographed in my engineer's cap. Before you judge, I do live in Chattanooga, after all. Choo-Choo.
